Mark Delavan adds the role of Wotan to his repertoire between 2008–2011.

In June 2008, Mr. Delavan launched the San Francisco Opera's new Wagner Ring Cycle and made his role debut as Wotan in Das Rheingold, conducted by Donald Runnicles and directed by Francesca Zambello. Associated Press praised him, "Singing Wotan for the first time, baritone Mark Delavan has the vocal range and power that the role demands…."

Mr. Delavan will appear in all three Wotan roles (Das Rheingold, Die Walküre and Siegfried) from 2008–2011.
